Customer Service – the Welcome Home difference

Customer Service – the Welcome Home difference

At Welcome Home to a Clean House our top priorities include delivering top-notch house cleaning services and above-and-beyond-expectations customer service. Last week was no exception! When a customer called to say an earring which had been sitting on top of something  in her bedroom was accidentally dusted or vacuumed away by, we saw an opportunity to swing into action. Our manager donned gloves and went through the vacuum bags that had been used to clean the house. Alas, despite her valiant efforts, the earring was not found. Of course, being bonded and insured, we could have written a check to cover the earring, but the customer really cherished that earring. The following day, our manager, one of our cleaners and one of our owners went to the house and (with the customer’s permission) moved furniture and combed the carpet and searched every nook, cranny and crevice. Finally, – success – they came up with the earring!  It had found a particularly invisible place to hide! The search team was delighted because they’d begun to think it was impossible (the adage “finding a needle in a haystack” was running through their heads – and, of course, the customer was very happy to be reunited with the earring. All in a day’s work for us. THIS is the Welcome Home difference!

Welcome Home’s Window Cleaning Solution Recipe

Welcome Home is committed to using green cleaning products. We’ve found, at times, that the green cleaning products on the market just aren’t effective enough to meet our standards. Our great manager, Heather, found that although the commercial “blue window cleaners” work well, they didn’t fit our need for a green/environmentally friendly glass cleaner. We tried a number of environmentally friendly glass cleaning products and none seemed to work well, so Heather decided to see if she could make a good glass cleaner herself. The majority of recipes she found used vinegar, but found it didn’t work well enough on its own or simply diluted. After trying three or four different recipes, Heather up with an effective, earth-friendly formula that works for us! We make it in bulk but it’s a simple recipe to convert. Here’s the Welcome Home “official” environmentally friendly glass cleaner recipe:

GLASS CLEANER

1/4 C. White vinegar
1/4 C. Rubbing alcohol
2 C. water
a drop of ivory liquid soap
